Dave Gudgel

Born and raised in California, Dave has called Fresno, Sacramento, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara, Agoura Hills, and Phoenix home.

Pastor Dave earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at Westmont College in Santa Barbara; a Master of Divinity degree in Practical Theology from Talbot Theological Seminary; and a Doctorate in Preaching at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon.

For the past seven years Dave has served as the Senior Pastor of Bethany Bible Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to Bethany, Dave was the Senior Pastor of Agoura Bible Fellowship, a church in the northwest Los Angeles area, for twenty-one years.

Since 1986 Dave has been on the faculty of Walk Thru the Bible Ministries and has taught over 150 seminars for them. He has also written three books: Owner's Guide to Using Your Bible, Before You Live Together, and Before You Get Engaged. After writing these last two books he was a guest several times on Focus on the Family.

Dave loves to play golf, to spend time with his family, and to travel. He and his wife Bernice have three twenty-something children who all graduated from Azusa Pacific University. Their oldest son, Brent, is a film maker and lives with his wife Danielle in Pasadena, CA. Brian, their second son, works for UBS and lives with his wife Mary in Atwater, CA ,with Dave's two grandchildren, Camden and Andersen. Katie, their youngest, is a flight attendant and lives in Pasadena.
