Missions

Purpose

The focus of all outreach at FBC is to help fulfill the Great Commission--not just in our community, but "to the remotest part of the earth" ( Acts 1:8 ). This commission challenges us to make disciples among all nations, to baptize them and to teach them to live under the Lordship of Jesus Christ ( Matt. 28:19-20 ).

Program

FBC's program is designed to provide an avenue for people to actively apply God's purpose on a daily basis.
  • Biblical teaching on missions/outreach from the pulpit and in our fellowship programs is a significant part of this central focus.
  • Regular interviews and interaction with visiting workers enables us to maintain contact with those we assist and send out.
  • Our annual Missions Conference and quarterly reviews present first-hand, up-to-date information from missionaries and ministry servants who labor for God's church around the world.

Practice

We are always looking at ways to inform, challenge, encourage and train people for serving the Lord. And, we are continually seeking to develop others who will join the team.

Worldwide Missions

The work of an ambassador goes beyond our local environment. ( Mark 16:15 ). Through missions, we reach out:
  • To other peoples/cultures in this country, overseas and abroad
  • To engage in ministry among unevangelized/unreached groups
  • To save the lost as well as serve alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ--through missionaries we support (mainly Conservative Baptist Association and their mission agencies.
