Get Plugged In Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat should I expect?First Baptist Church of Los Altos is a place of worship, growth, and opportunity. Our services appeal to individuals of all ages, providing occasions for involvement and service for many different backgrounds and interests. We believe that God made everyone with unique abilities, and that there is a place for everyone to glorify Him within the church. Our staff is available throughout the week, and we would love to meet and help you get connected. What should I wear? You’ll see people in jeans and t-shirts and others in coats and ties. So, it’s up to you to dress in anything you feel comfortable wearing. We’re more concerned with getting to know you, than what you wear! How do I get connected? There are many opportunities for Christians of all ages, so please feel free to explore our various ministry sites to find a specific age group or activity that most fits what you’re looking for. We also have a Welcome Center just off our Worship Center lobby, which has updated resources on current projects and upcoming events. Please take a look and grab a flyer or two and speak with our friendly Welcome Team! Our office staff is available throughout the week to answer any questions you may have about our church and our activities, so please give us a call at any time: (650) 948-5698. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. What does FBCLA have for my family? Family is a very high priority at our church, and we have classes and activities for each as a whole and as individual members. Kids Life takes great care in making sure that our little ones are growing up with a strong faith in Jesus Christ through various events such as; Awana, Children’s Choir, and Camp during the summer. The Middle School Ministry continues to teach the importance of Scripture and personal faith on Sunday mornings and mid-week Bible studies, and is established through fun outings, retreats, and Summer Camp. The High School Ministry shows students how to apply Scripture to their lives to live fully for Jesus through activities such as Sunday School, worship nights, Bible studies, retreats, and Survival Camp during the summer. While youth are an essential ministry focus at our church, we also put much time and energy into engaging our adult members to build up one another through fellowship, Bible studies, seminars, and various service opportunities. FBCLA is a multi-generational church community with a place for everyone. Check our website often for upcoming events and activities! |
