A Note From Pastor Dave

This past Saturday our Elder Board met for an entire day of ministry planning. Not only did we enjoy way too much great food (thanks to the gracious hospitality of Guadalupe), but we also experienced the Lord’s leading as we discussed our current ministries and planned for future ministry. It was a very successful day and we thank God for your prayers.

Announcement From The Principles Desk

This past Sunday, Sue Torode, the principal of Los Altos Christian School, announced her intention to resign as of June 30. Sue has had a long, 23 year history of serving in educational ministry and she has served LACS on two separate occasions for a total of fifteen years of ministry service to the children, families, faculty and staff of LACS. We rejoice in Sue’s years of service and dedication to the calling of LACS and the impact she has had on hundreds of children and adults over these years.

Over the next few months we hope you will join with us in thanking God and Sue for all that the Lord has done through her. We would also ask that you pray for our Elder Board and LACS School Board as they will soon initiate a comprehensive nation-wide search to identify the candidate we believe God has raised up to be the next principal of LACS. A team made up of representatives from the School Board, Elder Board, faculty, and PTF will be formed over the next three weeks to serve as the search committee for the new Principal. Please keep the important work of this committee in your prayers even as the group is being formed.

We have been blessed to have Susan Goff on staff as Vice-Principal. She will now also be serving as the interim Principal effective July 1. Susan will hold this interim position until the next school Principal is named.

We have much to be thankful for and to look forward to as we prepare for the next phase of ministry at LACS.

Welcome Triune Korean Baptist Church

On Sunday please greet and welcome our new ministry partners - the Triune Korean Baptist Church (TKBC). Pastor Daniel Cho will be leading their Korean Language Worship Services from 11:10AM – 3PM in room 524 of the Family Center.

Ministry Opportunity

Our Music & Worship Department is looking for volunteers to help with tech ministries on Sunday mornings. This is a great opportunity to get involved behind the scenes and impact lives by helping people connect with God. If you might be interested in helping with the sound, lights, or media during our worship services, please contact Robb.Lentz@fbcla.org for more information. If you already have experience, that’s great! But if you don’t, training will be provided.
