Craig and Cynthia Davis

davis

Craig and Cynthia have been involved in ministry in France for 23 years: 2 years as part of a music evangelism team in the late 70’s and then 21 years as part of a church-planting team working in the northern and eastern suburbs of Paris. They have ministered in three church plants and are currently in Bussy St. George.

A large part of Craig’s time is also spent in the development of a music and worship ministry among a regional association of Baptist churches. One of their prayer requests is that Craig will be able to develop musicians who have a real heart for ministry and worship in their local churches. He gives private lessons on several different instruments.

A couple of years ago, Craig and Cynthia moved from their residential neighborhood home to an apartment complex. This has opened the door to meeting new neighbors and having a Christian witness amongst them. Pray for the Davises' financial need.  Ministry expenses continue to rise and additional monthly commitments need to be added to their support base.

Craig and Cynthia raised three children in Paris: Rachel, Ryan and Janelle, all grown and married now. Rachel and Francisco made Craig and Cynthia first-time grandparents on April 16, 2006, with the birth of their daughter, Sofia.

3 Sunday  ~ Missionaries of the Week: CityTeam. Please pray for extra provisions of food and emergency needs for low-income families during winter, which is   the hardest time for them to survive.

4 Monday  ~ Jon and Christy, South Asia.   Last fall, John and a friend completed a successful 3-week trip to the Maple village area.  Jon was able to meet with the head Buddhist lama, who was encouraged to hear about their future goals for a literacy program in the Maple language. Pray for continued good relationships.

5 Tuesday  ~ Gerry and Nancy Kraft, Executive Director (Outreach Canada). Gerry’s son, Craig, has served for 3 years in South Africa. Outreach Canada is now asking Craig and family to come back to Canada to work in leadership of the mission.  They will return home in May, start work at headquarters in September, then take over as director in 2009. Gerry and Nancy will stay on the team for a couple of years, assisting in special assignments and new development projects.

6 Wednesday  ~ Mike and Lesly Najjar, Guatemala (Missions Door). Praise God for the healthy birth of Mike and Lesly’s first child, a son named Jeremy Benjamin, born on January 3.  He weighed 7 lbs, 8 oz. and was 20” long.

7 Thursday  ~  Larry Buck; San Clemente, CA (The Jesus Film). Larry and the office staff are working on a major re-work of The Jesus Film Project web site. Their goal is to make the site more user- and donor-friendly. Pray for the re-design, that it will achieve their goals and be completed by March 1.

8 Friday  ~  Our Ministry Team in Southwest Asia. Please pray for this couple, who will be in the States from May through August this year.  Pray for Dean, who needs to have medical treatment for a cancer that has returned.

9 Saturday  ~ Cesar and Patty Buitrago, CityTeam. Cesar has resigned from CityTeam, where he has served for 14 years and has done exceptionally well in developing home gatherings in the San Jose area that bring fellowship and witness of the Gospel in dozens of neighborhoods.  Pray for Cesar and Patty as they are seeking God’s will for His next assignment.
