Community Pregnancy Centers

Community Pregnancy Centers have existed since 1981 to provide information, compassion and practical support for women and men facing unplanned pregnancies or dealing with pregnancy issues. As a Christian organization, their staff and volunteers come from over 30 different churches in Santa Clara County. Charlene Acord, from our church, is one of the counselors. It is their goal to meet the needs of the whole person: physical, emotional and spiritual.
CPC is committed to seeing that everyone who walks through their doors receives the hope, help, and healing needed, regardless of age, race, creed or marital status.
The Centers offer free and confidential pregnancy tests and counsel.
Practical support is available to women and men who are clients of CPC. Knowing that the cost of many baby and maternity items are very high, limited practical help, along with all of the other services, is free to
clients. Please pray that God will continue to supply the needs of CPC.
CPC is happy to help clients with:
• Maternity clothes
• Baby clothes
• Strollers
• Childbirth classes
• Emergency diapers and formula
• Various accessories
• Bedding
• Cribs, bassinets, and playpens

10 Sunday ~ Missionaries of the Week: Community Pregnancy Centers. God works together for good in so many aspects of a young woman’s first, tentative visit to a clinic. She experiences the love of Christ through her counselor, the insurance liaison, the sonogram technician, the doctors and the nurses. And, praise God, often a precious life is preserved.
11 Monday ~ Don and Cynthia Storrs, Colorado Springs (Greater Europe Missions). Don shares that TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) is one of the most effective avenues in serving people in Europe who are seeking to find better jobs. Pray for seven teams who will serve this year.
12 Tuesday ~ John and Eriko Houlette, Japan (WorldVenture). Pray for John as he visits with us for a few days. He will be speaking at Sue Robertson Prayer Circle at 10:45AM. If any ladies would like to join us, please do.
13 Wednesday ~ The Forgotten Peoples in Namibia. Many people groups in this country on the southwestern coast of Africa have not yet heard of Jesus. Pray that more missionaries will go and share God’s love so that the many diverse people groups can personally accept His salvation. Pray specifically for some of these people groups: the Herero, the Namibian Coloureds, the Nama/Damara and the Mblantu. For information, e-mail forgottenpeoples@telkomsa.net.
14 Thursday ~ Partner’s International has a worldwide staff of nearly 70 who partner with 48 key indigenous partners in 29 countries. Pray for this group that assists more than 100 ministries throughout the world.
15 Friday ~ Steve and Laura Reed, Director of Short-term Ministries, Sacramento (Missions Door). Pray for a vocational training center in Nicaragua which is now in operation. Pastors and street kids will be trained in welding and carpentry. Both of these skills will provide good income for the learners.
16 Saturday ~ Bob and Suzanne Robertson, Jordan (WorldVenture). Please continue praying for Bob and Suzanne concerning their residence visas. They have lived in Jordan for 33 years, but their new residence visas were denied last fall. They are still in Jordan and are seeking to get approval to stay. |
