Please pray for John and Estera Vatran, our missionaries in Romania. The team that went over to Romania in June is seeking to raise funds above our usual missionary budget to help the Vatrans finish a conference center that they have started. The center is being prepared to serve as a Christian Leadership Training Center to train pastors, leaders, women, youth and missionaries from Romania to go out into the world and preach the Gospel. At present, this is the greatest need that Romania has.

Under construction for the support of evangelical churches:

  • Training missionaries from Romania
  • Discipleship
  • Training pastors and leaders
  • Women’s ministry
  • Retreats and conferences
  • Youth ministry training
  • Short-term missions base
  • Strengthening young churches

Seeking contributions for furnishings, kitchenware, appliances, and building completion.

For additional information on any of these prayer requests, check the missionary files in the Missions Center or call
Effie Dodd at (408) 736-6934.

18 Sunday  ~  Missionaries of the Week: John and Estera Vatran, Romania (World Venture). Pray for the Mountain View Camp and Conference Center in Hateg, which is under construction. The short-term team that served in Romania in June would like to help raise funds for furnishing the rooms.  Look for our ministry table this month for more information. Please pray for the Vatrans and ministry leaders in Romania.

19 Monday  ~ OC International. Pray for ministry in Mozambique in Africa. In just ten years, a young pastor, Vasco, with the assistance of OC missionaries, has developed a nation-wide ministry of evangelistic church planting and ministry to orphans that involves more than 6,000 people.  Vasco had himself been discipled by one of the missionaries.

20 Tuesday  ~ Child Evangelism Fellowship. Pray for continuing growth and opportunities as children are reached in local neighborhoods, respond to the Gospel and grow in the knowledge of God’s Word.  Praise God for the faithful staff that organizes and leads the ministry here in the Silicon Valley.

21 Wednesday  ~ Radha and Samen Manickam, Seattle/Cambodia (Missions Door). Ministry in Cambodia continues to grow, now working with 700 pastors in 10 provinces. Work continues on the Siem Reap Training Center and its grounds.

22 Thursday  ~  Thanksgiving Day. Let’s raise our praise and thanksgiving to God for His blessings and provision to our families, our church, our missionaries, our country and most of all, for our sure salvation in Jesus Christ our Lord.  MK Birthday – Jason Broesamle, Orange County (age 9)

23 Friday  ~ John and Sherry Broesamle, Orange County (CCC). Pray for seven short-term teams (42 members in six different cities) now serving on campus universities in several areas of the world. Pray especially for the East Asia teams. The government there is taking more dramatic steps to hinder some of their activities.

24 Saturday  ~  Jon and Christy, South Asia. Praise God that Jon has been able to spend four weeks at their ministry site high in the mountains.  Christy was not able to accompany him because their 9-month-old daughter is not yet able to travel to that area, but a friend from one of their supporting churches in No. Carolina was able to fly over and go with Jon.   Birthday – Janie Hutton, Denver
